Olds Search and Rescue Society fully endorses and began delivering the National Green Check GPS Training and Certification Program to members in 2006. We are fortunate to have a nationally certified instructor as one of our members and our courses are open to all SAR workers and members of the general public. The training is designed to provide participants with a solid foundation in the use of a map, a compass and a GPS unit and an understanding of how these tools work together to keep the user safe. |
